Videogames are something almost all of us spend our time doing. When someone plays a game, it is shared with their friend who plays the game, and so on. That’s how games get popular. While people may have favorite video games, most people don’t know others’ favorite video games. These are the top 10 video games of the century in my opinion and some information about them:
#10: Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO is a game about Pokémons, where you walk around in the real world to move your character and catch Pokémon. This game can be played with friends, and if you have never played it, you may want to try it out.
#9: Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey is a Mario game that switches between 2d and 3d play. The gimmick of this Mario game is about a special hat named Cappy, who can capture creatures in the game and allow you to play as one of them.
#8: Marvel’s Spider-Man
This game has a compelling story and excellent gameplay. The skill tree is an interesting feature, and the customization of outfits allows players to change the way their Spider-Man looks to their liking.
#7: Dark Souls
This is a challenging game, but it is also very popular. Many players who play this game quit after playing it because of the difficulty.
#6: GTA 5
While I have never personally played this game, I know many people who did and absolutely loved it. I am not interested in a game type like this, but I feel it has to be on this list.
#5: Roblox
While Roblox has some problems and a bad player base, the freedom and creativity it offers puts it high on the list. Although it has some bad games within, it also has some incredible experiences that may just take a little while to find.
#4: Fortnite
Once again, like GTA 5, I personally never enjoyed this game; but, it wouldn’t be a ranking of the top ten video games in the last ten years without adding Fortnite.
#3: Dying light
Dying Light is a zombie survival game with an excellent story and great gameplay. It is known for having great parkour. Even though the game can be played at a fast pace, it is definitely worth the price for the story.
#2: Subnautica
Subnautica is an underwater survival horror game set on an alien planet. You become the only survivor after crashing on the planet. With a silent protagonist and a very large map, it’s a story for players who are interested, as well as massive leviathan creatures – making players always worried while in the deep depths of this alien planet.
#1: Minecraft
Minecraft has been consistently one of the most popular games in the world since 2011. I think this is because the game offers many different experiences no matter what you are looking for. Whether it’s fighting other players, building massive bases, or building crazy contraptions, there is something for everyone.
