Fantasy Football

The 2018 Fantasy Football season has been a joyride, to say the least. Filled with injuries, sleepers, and busts, the fantasy football season this year has been nothing short of exciting.

It starts up top from the best of the best–like Le’veon Bell–who still hasn’t showed up to Steelers’ training facilities the entire season. The disappointments with top players continue, with injury-riddled running backs Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, and Devonta Freeman. Additionally, the rookie star DeShaun Watson has proven to be inconsistent and unreliable compared to his stellar stats from last season.

Perhaps one of the best parts of this fantasy season has been the common blockbuster trades and acquisitions that have taken place throughout the NFL season. To start the season, Raiders’ newly hired coach John Gruden sent defensive star Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears in return for a whopping two first round picks, one third round pick, and a sixth round pick in the years to come. Additionally, the Bears signed Mack to a record-breaking 144 million dollar six year contract extension in Chicago. More recently, the Raiders sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys for a first round pick as well. Other big trades included Demaryius Thomas (Broncos to Texans), Golden Tate (Lions to Eagles), and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (Yes, that’s his name) to the Redskins. These big trades have not only shaken up the dynamics of the NFL season, but has also left many fantasy owners scrambling to make decisions as to whether to pursue these big time players on their new teams.
